Blue River

The Blue River is fishing great as of 2-23-09. The tail-water is fishing excellent with lots of Mysis action, however it seemed to tail off a bit the other day on the mysis and we caught more fish on the midge patterns listed below! The access points above Dillon to Breckenridge have also been very productive! In Silverthorne we have been using Scimpy Scampi Mysis patterns, Flashback Olive WD-40's, Pearl, Black and Red Cardinal Midges, Black Beauty Emergers, Grey Brook's Sprout Midges, Otter's soft Egg Patterns and other egg patterns and more! From Dillon to Breck try, Small Phesant Tails, Otter's soft Eggs, Wd-40's, Cardinal midges, Miracles, Black Beauties and more! I have also had reports of good fishing all the way to Green Mountain Reservoir. The ice is off in most areas and the fishing was good! Stop into the shop for some of our favorite patterns, or call the shop for up to the minute info, and for more information or to book your trip on the Blue River give us a call toll free at (888) 453-9171.
