El Pescador Punta Gorda is located in the undiscovered paradise of the Toledo District in southern Belize. The resort encompasses 470 acres nestled in coastal mountains and rainforest along 1.5 miles of the Rio Grande. The clear blue river offers swift and easy access to the Flats and Cayes of the Caribbean Sea 20 minutes downstream. El Pescador Punta Gorda offers 12 magnificently appointed individual cabanas terraced above a jungle hillside atop the Rio Grande. Each generous cabana is furnished with two queen size beds, a sitting area including a day bed, private bath with hand-made ceramic tile, luggage storage and rod holders. All areas of the hotel have potable water at every tap! Your cabana is equipped with all the amenities including air conditioning. However, the cool river valley evenings and cieling fans will keep you comfortable most of the year. Each cabana comes with its own private veranda overlooking the brilliant vistas of vast jungle reserves and the wildlife corridor.

At El Pescador Ambergis Caye, guests have a choice: stay in the main lodge, or in one of the luxury villas. El Pescador lodge is an intimate, 12-room, one suite hotel set in a colonial style mahogony building with a long veranda overlooking the beach and barrier reef. All rooms have private baths, overhead fans and air-conditioning, and are just steps away from our swimming pool adjacent to the beach. All rooms face the sea. El Pescador Villas are a collection of four luxury three-bedroom Villas, set in tropical gardens surrounding a private pool. You may enjoy the entire Villa as a home-away-from-home, or request only the portions, since each suite can lock-off into a private unit. Reserve one master suite, or a master suite and the Great Room - just tell us what configuration works best for you!

Travel Logistics

Getting to either of El Pescador lodges is fairly simple. There are daily flights to Belize City from Houston, Dallas, and Miami. Once in Belize City, El Pescador takes care of everything.
